Eight members of a family were killed while praying in Nangarhar

Authorities in Nangarhar say eight members of a family were killed while praying Taraweeh.

Ziaulhaq Amarkhail; The governor of Nangarhar says the eight members of a family were shot and killed while performing Taraweeh prayers in Jalalabad.

Mr. Amarkhail said that the incident took place at around 9:00 last night (Saturday, April 17) in Naghlo Saracheh Ali Khan area, ninth district of Jalalabad city.

He added that the head of the family was a man named Abdul Wahab, as a result of which 5 of his sons and 3 nephews were killed.

Mr. Amarkhail stated that the motive for this event was personal enmity.

He also announced the beginning of efforts to arrest the perpetrators of this incident
