A Balkh University bodyguard was killed by gunmen

Security sources in Balkh report the assassination of a Balkh University bodyguard by unknown individuals in the province.

Adel Shah Adel; Balkh police spokesman says that this morning (Wednesday, 21th April), two assailants on a motorcycle shot dead a university guard at the western gate of Balkh University and fled the scene.

Mr. Adel added that efforts are underway to identify and detain these individuals.
