Eight policemen were killed and wounded in an explosion in Kandahar

Security sources in Kandahar reported that 8 police were killed and injured when a mine exploded in the province.

Mr. Nasser said that five policemen were killed and three others, including the Jirai district police chief, were wounded in the incident.

According to him, the mine was planted by the Taliban.
