Pakistani troops clash with Afghan troops on the Durand Line

Local sources in Kandahar province reported clashes between Pakistani forces and Afghan forces on the Durand border in Spinboldak district.

Ghulam Yahya Olavi; Spokesman for the 205th Atal Military Base said the clash began around 9:00 a.m. today (Monday, April 26) and lasted for several hours.

Mr Olavi added that the fighting was now over and the Pakistani military had been pushed back.

According to him, an Afghan Border Guard soldier was wounded and an Afghan military vehicle was destroyed in the clash.

No casualties were reported from the Pakistani military.
