Five people, including a former Taliban member, were killed by gunmen in Nangarhar

Officials in Nangarhar say a former Taliban member and four others were killed in an armed attack in Lalpur district of the province.

Ziaulhaq Amarkhail; The governor of Nangarhar wrote on his Twitter page that last night (Monday, April 26) gunmen attacked the house of a former Taliban member, whom Mr. Amarkhair referred to as Tafsir.

Mr Amarkhail added that five people, including the former Taliban member, had been killed in the incident.

According to him, the incident is under investigation.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
