26 Taliban fighters killed and wounded in Faryab

The 209th Shaheen Corps says 26 Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in airstrikes on a large convoy of the group in Faryab province.

The statement said the Taliban convoy was traveling from the Chehelgazi area to Qaisar when it was targeted by airstrikes in the village of Awlang in Qaisar district.

The Taliban convoy, planned to attack Qaisar district, the statement added.

According to the statement, as a result of this air attack, 10 fighters of this group were killed and 16 others were wounded, and also 20 vehicles of this group were destroyed.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
