Floods in Badakhshan; Nearly 300 houses have been destroyed

Local sources report flooding in several districts of Badakhshan and say that about 300 houses have been destroyed.

Nik Mohammad Nazari; Spokesman for the governor of Badakhshan said that as a result of heavy rains and floods in Jurm, Khash, Yaftal, Kishm and some other districts, nearly 300 houses had been partially and completely destroyed.

Mr. Nazari added that these districts have witnessed rainfall since yesterday and thousands of acres of agricultural land have been destroyed in these floods.

According to Mr. Nazari, the details of the casualties of these floods unknown yet, but these floods have blocked the transportation routes.
