Thirteen security forces were killed in two separate Taliban attacks in Takhar

Security sources in Takhar reported that 13 security forces were killed in two Taliban attacks on two checkpoints in the province.

Salahuddin Borhani; A member of the Takhar Provincial Council says that last night, as a result of a Taliban attack on a security checkpoint in the Cheshmehshir area of ​​Talqan, the checkpoint fell into the Taliban, killing nine soldiers and capturing two others.

Mr Burhani added that four army were killed and four others were wounded in another Taliban attack on an army checkpoint in Darqad district last night.

According to Mr. Borhani, the Taliban have taken all the equipment and ammunition of these checkpoints with them.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
