Interior Ministry: More than 100 civilians were killed by the Taliban during Ramadan

The Interior Ministry says more than 100 civilians have been killed by the Taliban during the holy month of Ramadan.

Tariq Arian; Interior Ministry spokesman says more than 100 civilians have been killed in Taliban attacks, explosions and suicide bombings during the holy month of Ramadan.

He says the Taliban have carried out 100 landmines, 30 assassinations and 10 suicide attacks this month.

According to Mr. Arian, more than 200 other civilians were wounded in the attacks.

The Taliban have not yet commented on the figures.
