The press secretary of the Ministry of Finance was assassinated in Kandahar

Security officials in Kandahar say a former Tolo News correspondent and staff member has been assassinated by unknown individuals in the province.

Jamal Nasser Barakzai; Kandahar police spokesman said that unknown individuals had killed Nematullah Ravan, the press secretary of the Ministry of Finance, at around 10:30 am today in the fourth district of Kandahar, in the square of Shahid Ahmad Vali.

No one or group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
