Nine local forces were killed and wounded in Badakhshan

Security sources in Badakhshan reported that 9 local forces were killed and wounded in the province.

Nikohammad Nazari; Spokesman for the Badakhshan governor said that six local forces were killed and three others were wounded in a Taliban attack on a local force checkpoint in the Jurm district of the province.

Mr Nazari said Taliban fighters also killed in the attack, but added that exact figures were unknown.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
