ISIL claimed responsibility for a bomb blast at a mosque in Kabul’s Shakdara district

In a message, ISIS claimed responsibility for an explosion at the Mufti Numan Mosque in Kabul’s Shakardara district.

In this incident, which took place on the second day of Eid at the Mufti Numan Mosque in the Shakardara district of Kabul, about 12 people, including the imam of the mosque, were killed and 15 others were injured.

The government blamed the Taliban for the attack, but the Taliban denied any involvement in the attack, saying “this barbaric act is part of the Kabul administration’s anti-religious crimes and will go accounted for.”
