Meteorological Department warns of possible heavy rains and floods in 16 provinces

The Meteorological Department of Afghanistan reported the possibility of relatively heavy rains and flash floods in 16 provinces of the country.
A statement issued by the department today (Sunday, May 16) said that relatively heavy rains and flash floods were expected in Baghlan, Ghor, Sar-e-Pul, Samangan, Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, Bamyan, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Paktia, Kunar, Laghman, Khost, Nuristan provinces and some parts of Kabul.
According to this announcement, the amount of rainfall in different places is forecasted between 10-25 mm.
Meanwhile, 78 people were killed, 30 were injured and 32 were missing in different parts of the country as a result of heavy rains and floods some days ago.
