About 80 people were poisoned in Takhar

Security officials in Takhar reported that 80 residents of Chal district in the province were poisoned after eating lunch.
Khalil Asir; Takhar police spokesman said that yesterday (Friday, May 21), about 80 residents of Chal district in the province in the village of Khaneqah in the district were poisoned after eating bread at a Quran recitation ceremony.
Mr. Asir added that some of the poisoned people were treated there, but some who were in critical condition were taken to the Chal district clinic.
According to him, the cause of the poisoning is still unknown, but a police investigation is underway.
