Benon Sevan: Ghani will left alone like Najib

Benon Sevan, The former UN envoy for Afghanistan and Pakistan, in an interview with DW, said that like Najibullah, Former Afghan President who was ousted by Russia at the end of his term, Ashraf Ghani, will also be isolated by the United States.

Benon Swan served as the United Nations envoy to Afghanistan and Pakistan in the 1990s, mediating between Dr. Najib and the Mujahideen for peace.

He added that the current government of Afghanistan has been abandoned by those who were supported and that peace must be achieved by the Afghan people themselves and cannot be provided to Afghanistan from outside.
