The Taliban destroyed the most important bridge in the Pashtun Zarghun district of Herat

Sources in Herat report the destruction of the largest bridge in the Pashtun Zarghun district by the Taliban in the province.

Abdul Qadir Alokozai; The Pashtun Zarghun Governor says the bridge was the district’s largest communication bridge for people to travel.

According to Mr. Alokozai, Taliban fighters destroyed the bridge yesterday (Tuesday, May 25).

Mr. Alokozai added that the demolition of the bridge has slowed down the security forces’ operations and residents of the district have also faced many difficulties in getting around.

According to Mr. Alokozai, with the demolition of this bridge, the Taliban have found more openness to plant mines and carry out other destructive acts.
