Commandos released five men from a Taliban prison in Kunduz

The Ministry of National Defense announced the release of five prisoners in Kunduz province.

The ministry said in a statement that commandos carried out an operation on a Taliban prison in the village of Qushtipah in Kunduz province.

According to the bulletin, the commandos released five people from the prison as a result of the operation.

The bulletin added that 12 Taliban fighters were killed and eight others were arrested in the operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
