The Department of Environmental Protection declares 12 areas in the country as protected areas

The National Environmental Protection Department says in a statement that it will designate 12 districts in 11 provinces as protected areas.

According to the announcement of the National Environmental Protection Department, these areas are AdMamad in Khost, Natural Forests of Azre Logar, Garzivan in Faryab, Kol Bast and kol Rahmat in Samangan, Mandehir in Paktia, Shahid Fooladi in Maidanwardak, Darreh Noor in Nangarhar, Rig Rawan in Kapisa, Natural Forests of Dolatshah in Laghman, Shamanduk in Kunar and Shahristan of Daikundi.

The official documents of these protected areas after review and study will be announced soon during an official ceremony.
