7 local forces were killed in Takhar

Local sources in Takhar report that seven local forces were killed in clashes with the Taliban.

Esmatullah Qorbani, a member of the Takhar Provincial Council, said clashes between Taliban fighters and local forces broke out last night in the village of Hafezan in the Rustaq district of the province.

Mr. Qorbani adds that in this clash, 7 local forces and one of their commanders named Qalam Bai were killed.

Taliban fighters have also been injured in the clashes.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
