A judge of the Kandahar Municipal Court of First Instance was assassinated in the province

The Supreme Court announced the assassination of a judge of the Kandahar Municipal Court of First Instance.
The Taliban group assassinated Mohammad Fayyaz, a member of the Kandahar City Court of Appeals, in the second district of Kandahar yesterday, the Supreme Court said in a statement.
According to the statement, the judge was shot when he went home from the mosque after praying.
Meanwhile, Yusuf Ahmadi, a Taliban spokesman, issued a statement claiming responsibility for the judge’s assassination, saying the judge had caused problems in cases involving Taliban fighters.
