Shahrak district of Ghor province fell to the Taliban

Local officials in Ghor say the provincial capital, Shahrak, has fallen to the Taliban.

AbdulZahir FaizZada; The governor of Ghor province confirmed the fall of the district to the Taliban and said that the security forces had retreated tactically to prevent civilian casualties and had left all government institutions in the center of the district.

Meanwhile, officials of the Ghor local administration announced the arrival of new forces in the province and said that these forces were to be sent to Shahrak district to suppress the Taliban.
