226 Taliban fighters have been killed and wounded in different parts of the country

The Ministry of National Defense reports that 226 Taliban fighters were killed and wounded as a result of security forces’ operations in different parts of the country.

The ministry said in a statement that 152 Taliban fighters were killed and about 74 others were wounded in operations by defense and security forces last night.

The statement added that Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in Ghazni, Logar, Laghman, Paktika, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Zabul, Ghor, Badghis, Herat, Sar-e-Pul, Faryab, Kunduz and Takhar provinces.

The statement added that 19 minefields of various types were discovered and neutralized during the operations, and some ammunition of thıs group were also destroyed.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
