An explosion in Mazar-e-Sharif killed one civilian

Security sources in Balkh say that four people were killed and injured in an explosion in the city of Mazar-e-Sharif.

Adel Shah Adel; Spokesman for the Balkh police said that the incident was caused by the explosion of a magnetic mine embedded in a bicycle, which took place before noon today (Saturday, June 12) in the sixth district of Mazar-e-Sharif.

Mr Adel added that one civilian was killed and three others were injured in the blast.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
