Amrullah Saleh says that there has been no change in the Taliban’s treatment of the people, but that the group has become more ignorant and savage.

Mr. Saleh wrote on his Facebook page today (Monday, June 14) that “in many areas where it has been named Fall, the Taliban have made progress by creating a narrow line. “Their backbone has no depth or width.”

Mr. Saleh also said that standing up to the Taliban is defending human values and dignity.

The Taliban have claimed control of several districts in recent weeks, but the government has repeatedly denied the fall of these districts, saying security forces have retreated tactically to prevent civilian casualties.
