Security forces captured Khanabad district of Kunduz

Security sources in Kunduz report the recapture of Khanabad district of the province by security forces.

Kunduz police spokesman Enamauddin Rahmani said security forces had regained control of the Khanabad district center by launching an operation, and clashes between security forces and Taliban fighters continued.

According to Mr. Rahmani, Taliban fighters suffered heavy casualties in the clashes, but he did not provide exact figures.

Meanwhile, according to some sources, the center of Khanabad district of Kunduz was captured by Taliban fighters this morning.
