An army airstrike in Kunduz killed five civilians

Local sources in Kunduz report that five civilians were killed in an airstrike by the army in the province.

Fauzia Yaftali, a member of the Kunduz Provincial Council, said that the air force had targeted the village of Sar-e-Dura in Khanabad district of the province yesterday evening.

Ms. Yaftali added that as a result of the airstrikes, five civilians, including children, were killed and 20 others were wounded.

But Abdul Hadi Nazari, Spokesman for the 217th Pamir Corps, said no civilians had been harmed in the airstrikes.
