Security forces took control of Dolatabad district of Faryab

The 209th Shaheen Corps says the Dolatabad district of Faryab was cleared of Taliban fighters and captured by government forces.

The statement said that members of the 1st Battalion of the 1st Brigade of the 209th Shaheen Corps, in joint operation with the commandos and the support of the Air Force, started their operation at around 3 am to clear Dolatabad district of Faryab province and at around 6:20 am They recaptured it.

The corps did not say how many Taliban fighters or security forces were killed in the operation.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
