The Bangi and Khaja Ghar districts of Takhar were liberated from the Taliban

The Ministry of Defense says the Bangi and Khaja Ghar districts of Takhar province have fallen out of Taliban control.

The ministry said in a statement that the Bangi and Khaja Ghar districts of Takhar province were cleared of Taliban fighters last night as a result of a joint operation by defense forces, security forces and the local Forces with the support of the Air Force.

The statement added that as a result of the operation, Taliban fighters suffered heavy casualties and their Weapons and ammunition fell into the hands of army forces.

According to the statement, most of the casualties of the group’s fighters were in the villages of Abdul and Qarahpercho.

The Taliban have not yet commented.
