Two people arrested in connection with arms and drug trafficking in Logar and Nangarhar

The Ministry of Interior has announced the arrest of two people in connection with arms and drug trafficking in Logar and Nangarhar provinces.

The anti-narcotics police arrested two people in connection with arms and narcotics smuggling in two separate operations in Logar and Nangarhar provinces, the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry added that a person from Pol-e-Alam, the capital of Logar province, had been arrested in connection with ammunition smuggling.

According to the ministry newsletter, one person has also been arrested in connection with the smuggling of more than six kilograms of heroin from Nangarhar province.
