Shinwari district was cleared of Taliban fighters

The Ministry of Interior has announced that Shinwari district of Parwan province cleared of Taliban fighters.

The Ministry of Interior said in a statement that the Defense Forces, Security Forces and the local Forces launched an operation in Shinwari district of Parwan province and captured the district.

According to the statement, 69 Taliban fighters were killed and nine others were wounded in the operation.

The Taliban have not commented.
