The last German troops left Afghanistan

The German Defense Minister says that the last German troops present in Afghanistan have left this country.

German Defense Minister Anhegret Kramp Karnbauer wrote on Twitter yesterday that the last German soldiers left Afghanistan safely.

In his message, the German Defense Minister thanked all the German soldiers was present in Afghanistan.

More than 150,000 German troops have been in Afghanistan since 2001, and the last troops to leave Afghanistan were based in Bagram.

However, according to the decision of the President of the United States, all foreign troops are to leave Afghanistan by September 11.
