Hundreds of women in Ghor province took up arms against the Taliban

The press office of the Ghor governor reported that hundreds of women in the province had mobilized against the Taliban.

The office’s newsletter states that hundreds of Ghor women spontaneously declared their full support for the security and defense forces this morning by carrying weapons.

The statement added that the women warned that they would stand with their children, who are in the ranks of the security and defense forces and defend their country against terrorist groups, especially the Taliban, and would not allow the Taliban to reestablish their whipping rule over the people.

The women of Ghor say that they remember the dark period of the Taliban and that this mercenary and dark-minded group can never rule the fate of the people.

According to the newsletter, Dr. Abdul Zahir Faizzadeh, Ghor governor, praised the efforts and courage of Ghor women for their support of the country’s security and defense forces, and called their support a sign of the people’s victory over the Taliban.
