Two prominent Taliban figures were killed in Farah

The Interior Ministry says two key members of the Taliban, including 35 fighters, have been killed in Farah.
The ministry said in a statement that 20 Taliban fighters, including Maulvi Mukhles, the head of the group’s military commission for Farah province in the Farahrood district of Bala Baluk district, were killed in a joint operation by security and defense forces.
Fifteen other people, including Mullah Awad, the commander of the group’s Red Brigade, were wounded in the operation, statement also added.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
