The air defense system in Kabul was activated this morning

The Ministry of Interior announces the activation of the air defense system in Kabul.

Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian wrote on his Facebook page today that the newly installed air defense system in Kabul was activated today at 2:00 AM.

Mr. Arian added that this system, which is experienced in the world, has been proven to be useful for repelling rockets and mortars.

Interior ministry spokesman urged residents of Kabul and surrounding areas not to worry about hearing noises.

However, the Interior Ministry did not say what type of anti-missile system was activated.
