President Ghani’s consultative meeting with political and jihadi leaders

The Presidential Palace announced that President Ghani had a consultative meeting with political and jihadi leaders at the Citadel yesterday.

The statement said that President Ghani met with former President Hamid Karzai, Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council, and Professor Abdul Rasul Sayyaf, the jihadi leader, at the Citadel yesterday evening, following consultative meetings with the country’s political and jihadi leaders.

The statement added that the current situation in the country was discussed during the meeting.

According to the statement, the meeting continued to emphasize the unity and strong political consensus to support the security and defense forces, the republican system and the establishment of lasting peace and stability in the country.
