284 Taliban fighters were killed in 12 provinces

The Ministry of National Defense reports that 284 Taliban fighters have been killed in 12 provinces in the past 24 hours.
The ministry said in a statement that 285 Taliban were killed and 205 others were wounded in clashes and counter-attacks by defense and security forces.
The ministry added that 15 different mines were also discovered and defused by the security and defense forces during the clashes, and a large amount of weapons and ammunition of the group were destroyed.
The Taliban were killed and wounded in Nangarhar, Ghazni, Khost, Maidan Wardak, Kandahar, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Samangan, Balkh, Helmand, Takhar and Kabul provinces, according to the ministry.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
