217 Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in 13 provinces

The Ministry of National Defense reports that 217 Taliban fighters have been killed and wounded in the last 24 hours in 13 provinces of the country.
The ministry said in a statement that 136 Taliban insurgents had been killed and 81 others wounded in clashes and counter-attacks by defense and security forces.
According to the ministry, Taliban fighters were killed and wounded in Kunar, Nangarhar, Logar, Paktia, Kandahar, Zabul, Jawzjan, Sar-e-Pul, Balkh, Helmand, Nimroz, Takhar and Kapisa provinces.
The statement added that a large amount of weapons and ammunition of this group were also destroyed in these clashes.
