A police officer was assassinated in Balkh

Balkh police report the assassination of a National Security Directorate official by unknown individuals in the province.

Adel Shah Adel, spokesman for the Balkh police, said that yesterday evening, unidentified gunmen killed a police officer in the Seh dookan area of ​​the sixth district of Mazar-e-Sharif.

Mr. Adel named Mayel Khan as the person killed and said he was a member of the Balkh National Security Directorate.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
