The Taliban attack on the Upper Suf valley was repulsed

Mohammad Mohaqiq, the president’s top adviser on political and security affairs, said that last night Taliban fighters attacked the Upper Suf valley from three strongholds, which was repulsed by security forces.

Mr. Mohaghegh wrote on his Facebook page that following the enemy’s attack on the front line trenches of the Upper Suf Valley two nights ago, tonight also at 10:20 enemy attacked to the positions of the National Security Forces and uprisings and the war lasted for two hours and the enemy’s attack was repulsed.

According to Mr. Mohaqiq, one uprisings commander was killed and three others were wounded in the Taliban attack.

Mr Mohaqiq also said that Taliban insurgents had stormed a poultry farm and killed three staff members.
