A rocket attack on Kandahar airport resulted in the cancellation of flights

Security sources in Kandahar say several rocket-propelled grenades hit an airfield in the province last night.

Kandahar police spokesman Jamal Nasser Barakzai said three rocket-propelled grenades hit a flight line at the province’s airport last night.

Mr. Barakzai added that two rocket-propelled grenades hit the runway and destroyed part of it, but did not cause any casualties.

According to Mr. Barakzai, flights have also been canceled as a result of this rocket attack.
