President Ghani met with General Dostum

This morning, President Ghani met with Marshal Abdul Rashid Dostum at the Presidential Palace.

According to the announcement of the citadel, in this meeting, the general security situation of the country, especially the security situation of the northern provinces, was discussed.

Abdul Rashid Dostum said in this meeting: “It is time to work together with the security and defense forces to improve the security situation of the country and defend the values ​​and stand against the enemy.”

It is said that during this meeting, Marshal Dostum asked for special forces to be sent to Sheberghan, the capital of Jawzjan province.

Meanwhile, local sources in Jawzjan province say clashes between security forces and Taliban fighters are taking place around the National Security Directorate, around Marshal Dostum’s house and in the streets of Sheberghan.

According to these sources, the number of Taliban is very high and if more reinforcements do not arrive in this province, there is a possibility that the city of Sheberghan will fall.
