100 Taliban fighters were killed in an attack by a US B-52 aircraft in Sheberghan
The Ministry of National Defense says in a newsletter that about 100 fighters of this group were killed as a result of the attack of American B-52 planes on a Taliban gathering place in Sheberghan city.
Fouad Aman, a spokesman for the ministry, said in this attack US B-52 fighter jets targeted a Taliban rally in the city of Sheberghan, causing heavy casualties to the group’s fighters.
Meanwhile, Halima Sadaf, a member of parliament for Jawzjan province, told the BBC that the attacks took place last night at the ANA headquarters near Jangalbagh to a Taliban rally.
The lawmaker said the Taliban fighters were collecting military equipment from the brigade.
According to him, about 100 fighters of this group were killed in this attack.
The Taliban have not yet commented on the attack.
