Five civilians were killed in Taliban rocket attacks on Maidan Shahr

Security sources in Maidan Wardak say a Taliban rocket attack on the provincial capital has killed five civilians.
Maidan Wardak Police Command said in a news release that Taliban fighters fired rockets at Maidan Shahr, the provincial capital, last night, killing five civilians and wounding seven others.
The bulletin added that four rockets were fired by Taliban fighters, all of which hit a market.
The Taliban rocket attacks are also said to have caused financial losses.
The Taliban have not yet commented.
