Sources in Farah province report a Taliban attack on the provincial capital.

A member of the Farah provincial council said that Taliban fighters had launched attacks on Farah city from several strongholds last night, and that clashes between security forces and Taliban fighters were still ongoing in the northwest of the city.

The provincial council member added that the air force had also arrived in the city this morning to carry out operations against the Taliban.
