Biden: Our mission in Afghanistan was not nationalization

US President Joe Biden wrote on his Twitter page about Afghanistan that the US mission in Afghanistan has never been nationalization.

“We went to Afghanistan 20 years ago with specific goals and eliminated those who attacked us on September 11, 2001,” he wrote.

“To make sure that al-Qaeda cannot use Afghan territory again as a base to attack us,” he wrote.

“We did it a decade ago,” he added.

He also said in his speech on Afghanistan that the country fell because of the flight of their leaders.

He added that Afghanistan’s leaders refused to hold peace talks and lied and were unable to unite politically.
