Afghan Ambassador to Tajikistan: Amrullah Saleh is the President-elect

Mohammad Zahir Aghbar, Afghanistan’s ambassador to Tajikistan, called for Ashraf Ghani’s international trial in a speech today, saying that Amrullah Saleh was now the legitimate caretaker president of Afghanistan under the law.

He also accused Ashraf Ghani of stealing millions of dollars.

Two days ago, the Russian embassy in Afghanistan claimed that former President Ashraf Ghani had fled Afghanistan with millions of dollars.

The embassy said he had fled Afghanistan in four trucks and that some of the money had been stolen at the airport due to a lack of space on the plane.
