Statue of Abdul Ali Mazari was blown up in Bamyan

Sources in Bamyan say a statue of Abdul Ali Mazari has exploded in the province.

According to a local radio station in the province, unknown individuals blew up the statue of Abdul Ali Mazari, the founder of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan, at the Chowk Baba intersection in Bamyan yesterday evening.

Meanwhile, some sources attribute the explosion of the statue of Abdul Ali Mazari to the work of the Taliban.

No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
