Sources: Gol Agha Sherzai pledged allegiance to the Taliban

Sources say that Gul Agha Sherzai, the former Minister of Borders and Tribes of the Ghani government, has pledged allegiance to the Taliban.

Meanwhile, a video of Mr. Sherzai’s allegiance to the Taliban has been posted on social media.

The video shows a Taliban member calling Gul Agha Sherzai an Afghan bulldozer and saying that he will be a bulldozer in the Taliban government to rebuild Afghanistan.

The Taliban member also says that Mr. Sherzai Sahib is pledging allegiance to the Islamic Emirate in accordance with Sharia.

Gul Agha Sherzai is one of the most influential Pashtuns in Kandahar, who served as Minister of Borders and Tribes under Ashraf Ghani.

He also played a key role in the fall of the previous Taliban government.
