A shooting at Kabul airport killed an Afghan soldier

German forces tweeted that unknown individuals and Afghan security forces opened fire at Kabul airport this morning.

According to the statement, the shooting took place near the northern entrance of Kabul airport, killing an Afghan soldier.

The statement added that German forces had also taken action to contain the shooting.

The US and German embassies, meanwhile, have advised their citizens in Afghanistan to refrain from traveling to Kabul airport due to security threats.
