The last American troops left Afghanistan last night

The last remaining US troops in Afghanistan left the country last night, according to a statement from the US Central Command.
Kenneth Mackenzie, the commander of the US Central Command, announced at a news conference the end of the 20-year US presence in Afghanistan and said that the last plane carrying US troops left Kabul airport last night.
Ross Welson is said to have been the US ambassador on the flight.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted that the last US troops had left Afghanistan and that the last US troops had left Kabul.
He added that after this Afghanistan has become completely free and independent.
